Just remember, you may have to drop the upper thread tension, it is quite strong and will pull the bottom thread up tight quickly if it's not set right. I drop my tension to half of what it takes when using poly or cotton on the top. Lovely, smooth and very clear. Well worth the small extra cost to get this quality of invisible thread. You may have to play around with the tension since it's much thinner than regular thread, but it works great. **Q: I can't unspool my thread as the piece is too tight and short. Any suggestions?** A: Can you clip it close to where it unwraps....if not I would suggest contacting YLI about it. I didn't have any problems with mine. **Q: Would this thread be suitable for hand quilting?** A: Only if you have a huge amount of patience. You would have to work with small amounts of thread on your needle as this thread likes to knot and twist when using it for hand stitching. **Q: Will this type of spool fit on my standard Pfaff sewing machine? It looks like something for a serger.** A: I am not familiar with the Pfaff thread guide, but I think not, but I've had good success using monofilament doing this: I've taped an upside down safety pin (with wide masking tape) to the right side of my sewing machine to work as an extra thread guide. I put the spool in a coffee mug so it doesn't roll away. I then thread the monofilament thru that little metal loop of the safety pin. You could also buy a spool holder.
