I used a pencil and a level to keep the lines straight. Very easy to install. Backing was very sticky, so I dont know if it would be a damage free removal for renters. Overlap the grout lines and it seems like it will be a perfect water resistant barrier. And because of the tacky-ness of thr backing, it seems like it creates a good sealed edge.
