(See the review I wrote on 9/25/2019 ; I put lots of detail in my review. ) One of the main reasons I chose this timer in the first place, was because the product details state that it is 95 decibels, which is quite loud. (I believe a leaf-blower is something like 85 db - loud enough that it is suggested to wear ear-protection when using). As I said in my review, it is deafingly-loud if you are standing near it when the timer goes off. As far as the frequency goes, I have know idea whether it would be considered a high frequency or not. Good luck! B. **Q: What is the size** A: The size is approximately 3 1/4 inches in diameter. Large numerals, LOUD alarm. When you turn off the alarm it returns to the time you previously set and waits for a start. If you want a different time, you change it. Overall, an excellent timer. **Q: Can this be used to time how long I sleep? I sleep a lot like 16 hours or more a day.
