Same AAs you can purchase at the grocery store, hardware store, etc. Our tv remotes use this size battery & we seem to go through them VERY quickly! So I did a little research, comparing pricing at my local stores (HEB, Kroger, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Walgreens, Walmart…) & found a seller on Amazon that is much cheaper. I set this item up on Subscribe & Save and get an additional 5-15% savings. If you’re not familiar with Subscribe & Save, take a look at the details. If you find a few other items that you purchase regularly, you can subscribe to have them delivered on a schedule that suits your needs. I get coffee pods, cleaning products, cat food, dog treats, laundry supplies, batteries, electric toothbrush head replacements, mascara, AC filters, etc. delivered every 4 wks - 6 mths. This increases the % I save (5-15% depending on the item), on top of the savings because of Amazon’s cheaper prices, as compared to my local stores. It takes a little effort to comparison shop, but I definitely save $. You have the option to change your schedule at any time.
