And it does say New balance in the damn name of the product and yes, being an older dude, the shoes have an amazing base and an extended heel and it makes walking very comfortable. It does have a compression toe but you just don't notice it and I love the shoes. My wife says I can keep them so they're going to become my dog walking shoes. They're a little bit spendy but desertcart was offering an attractive coupon and they are worth every penny. If you're looking for a comfortable shoe because you walk a lot and you get sore feet ankles and shins new balance is the perfect first opportunity to go for comfortable walks..
