It looked just a little "different" and I was almost.......scared away by some of the reviews. I am SO happy, I took a chance!!!!!!!!! This kettle is awesome and makes brewing a cup of tea fun, precise and ............special. When I first opened the box, I thought I would probably not use the thermometer, but that would have been a very big mistake. The thermometer is the most fun part of making my tea. I always know that my tea is the perfect temp. I plan to purchase this kettle again at Christmas time for my tea-drinking friends.
