If used as directed it is fabulous and the strings last a good long while (ie don't put in massive quantity all at once). A little loud, but just wear headphones to listen to music or podcast to alleviate that! We do wear a mask to protect from the resulting hay dust but.... that's hay! Love it!

It works pretty good. It keeps up with me. I think the 11 to 1 ratio is a stretch unless you normally fluff up your leaves when you put them in the bag. Depending on the leaves I would say 6-8 to 1 ratio is more realistic. Even that's pretty good. The filter for the motor cooling air is not such a good setup. If you don't keep it clean I could see the motor failing early. Pay attention to the extension cord you use. 13 amps is a lot. Choking that down could kill a motor also.
