It works exactly as advertised, and is very easy to use. This unit also comes with a second rotor for small tubes (not shown, we tested this on 300 ul thin-style eppendorfs tubes) that is can be rapidly switched out between uses. Importantly to us, it runs on 4x AA batteries! This allows us to use in cell culture hoods, and would also make it suitable for field work where AC is not readily available.
