'Official Design Works' includes the expected reference sheets of all the main characters, but pleasantly surprised me with things like sketches of numerous locations and props, multiple pages of drawings of unnamed background characters, and contruction of various clothing articles and tools, among other things. Though I can't read any of the text, because the book is written entirely in Japanese, just looking through the almost 200 pages of beautifully-made drawings brings to light many minute details that went into contructing the world of the show that I haven't seen anywhere else. The presentation of the book itself is also nice on its own, with a flexible transparent cover protector that feels pleasantly sturdy. Overall, cannot review this book highly enough. It’s sad that some of the original staff members working on this series were perished because of the tragic events during the arsenic attack at their studio in 2019.
