Review: Great variety, price, freshness - I was pretty pleased. I got a case of 12 and it had 6 different meals(2 of each) so i like the variety there . I only ate one. No chickpeas lol. Got sunflower kernels. I got taco pasta, chicken noodle, chicken chunk, pizza, jalapeno pepper beef patty and creamy spinach fettuccini. Overall I got a great variety considering it's an mre and the freshness is the best. Will last till 2025 probably. I would absolutely recommend them. I got a heck of a deal too considering someone said they paid 200. I paid almost half that

I had used the last of my MREs during the latest winter storm when the power went out and went ahead and ordered another case. They make you feel human again for sure. **Q: What's the manufcatured date?**
A: The package I received in December 2019 had a pack date of December 2018 (8355).  I expected "Brand New- Freshest pack dates Available" to mean they wouldn't be a year old already.

**Q: These were 75% less 30 days ago. Why the increasing price point?**
A: This is price gouging under the guise of supply and demand. I ordered a case at $200 and by the time it was delivered a few days later, some of the lockdown vibes were better and the price MyStErIoUsLy dropped to a normal price of $175.

**Q: Are the heaters the new xmre heater or the standard military heaters?**
A: The heaters in these are awesome and better than what the military issues. My buddy is a Ranger and he loved these MRE's when I broke some out on a fishing trip. He said the heaters in these work WAY better than the ones issued. And within a few minutes our MRE's were hot and ready to go.

**Q: The box says the date code should be 4 digits, mine appears to be 5., can somebody help? The code is 20078.**
A: Yes , the manufacturer has shifted to a 5 digit code with 20 being the year and 078 being the sequential date for the year.  We have discussed this with them and and they will be changing the box information when they run out of the current supply they had in inventory. We are selling brand new production.  We this helps.

I ordered at 10:00 AM on a Friday. It showed up at my door before 15:30 on Saturday! Very fast. I am extremely pleased with that. There are 6 different menus/meals. You get 2 of each. Not a big problem but I am former USMC and am used to getting 12 different menus/meals in a case. I haven't tried them all yet. I purchased them for a Pike's Peak hike with my son. These will negate the need for a stove and cookware needed for most "Mountain Home" style camping foods. Water activated flameless heaters and eat it out of the pouch. He and I will let you know how it turns out. The only reason for 4/5 stars is that I was expecting 12 different meals. UPDATE: Meals were fine. Exactly as expected. A little bulkier and heavier than freeze dried foods. But again, no real need for pots, stoves, fuel etc.
