I want to paint in detail then clear-coat a small stainless item.** A: I would lightly sand.maybe steel wool.yes it will bond.but you will have to spray with air gun.if you try to brush it will not look even **Q: What to use for cleanup** A: Because it's acrylic, you can start with windex because it contains amonia...., or just use straight household amonia. ... for faster clean up. ., lacquer thinner. **Q: Is this paint waterproof** A: It's lacquer paint I would say if you seal it with rustoleum or krylon clear coat lacquer don't spray acrylic paint over lacquer **Q: So this must be used with an air gun or air brush? Will this work out well covering scrathes on engine gaurds ?** A: The paint is pre-thinned for use in an airbrush.
