This needs to be made bigger, as a HVAC and DDC technician I need access to my laptop frequently, I had to go down to a 14" device to get it in the pack. This required me removing the stitching from the sides of the velcro compartment to allow it to slide in. The small slit in the side is barely big enough for an ipad. Does anyone have an input on the zipper after using it for a long time?** A: We ordered 5 about a year ago, no complaints on the zipper durability or operation. This is a good pack for field techs. Durable and easy to work with. 4 still in service, (1 was stolen with all tools) we believe the advertising of Fluke on the Backpack enticed the thief with promise of quality inside. All of our remaining packs have the Fluke name covered now. **Q: can I get the actual outer dimensions? I need to know if this will fit in my top box or bottom drawer so when I'm not at work it can be locked up.** A: We don't have exact dimensions, since some of the compartments are expandable, but the Pack30 is approximately 21.5"H x 15"W x 12.5" D. **Q: How many meters can it fit, I have a 85V, 1587, 289, 773processmeter, 289 ammeter, 125ba scopemeter with clamp, an analog meter and a few process simu** A: Not knowing the exact process meter and analog meter assuming they have a similar size profile to the 1587 then they all would fit. However the internal pockets of the pack would not hold all of those items. The 85 and 289 would fit into pockets. The 773 would also fit into one of the pockets in the pack. The rest of the meters would be sitting side by side and on top of each other. **Q: Will this fit a laptop 15"Γ—10"Γ—1"? I read a lot of reviews and from what I can gather, I would guess that this may not be the most durable bag. However there are plenty of others out their that meet the needed durability for use by trades people with heavier tools that get used everyday. I am a service tech and I do not have the heavy use requirement but needed a bag that will carry the test equipment that I use daily. This is where this bag is a winner and I am sure it was intended for. Also, our customers expect quality test equipment and showing up with a Fluke branded bag sends a better image in my personal opinion. Since I intended in carry a laptop, my existing 14 inch laptop just does not fit. That is obviously one of the biggest complaints and perhaps well deserved. FLUKE, if you come out with a newer version, perhaps make that pocket a bit larger and I am sure you will get more interest. Since I was all in on this bag, I decided to purchase a smaller laptop which was a little bigger challenge. I felt a 11 inch width laptop would provide ease of removal/insertion. Fortunately, I found the HP Pavilion which is a sleek 11 inch width laptop and very suitable for my needs with a 2-1 laptop/tablet function, decent Intel processor, memory and sizable Solid State Drive. I also purchased the laptop from Amazon and was impressed with the over-night delivery. If you are a field technician using meters and small hand tools for light maintenance and service, this is a great tool-bag and the laptop will fit your needs.
