One wipe for the whole body seems to do the trick. **Q: What are the ingredients?** A: Natrapel has some basic neutral ingredients, plus picaridin, which is meant to be as effective as DEET, (DEET was the premier insect repellent for decades, but also infamous for being irritating to the skin and for softening or even 'melting' some plastics and nylon fabrics.) I very much appreciate Natrapel, and have used it in fairly extreme mosquito environments in central Alaska. It works well, and I definitely experience it as much less harsh than the DEET-based repellents I grew up with. However, I'm not a chemist or a doctor, so I can't vouch for it being actually safer or 'better for you' than DEET.
