In 1963, a leather craftsman named Sante Mazzarolo brought forth was a future icon. Based in the small northern Italian town of Asolo and with the alpine perennial star flower as its nomesake, Mr. Mazzarolo began producing the first products bearing the Alpinestars moniker. At the time of a new sport called motocross, what has become the most popular in Europe. Many sports, Sante realized an opportunity to apply her talents and technical talents to design a new type of footwear that would meet the protection needs and demands of this beautiful form of athletics. The revolutionary boot that Mr. Mazzarolo produced will become an archetype of protection for motocross.
