I did buy a slightly bigger pump for my fountain before I switched to these filters, the three layers slow the flow a bit, so I'm not sure if it'd be too much resistance for the pump that came with the fountain. It works very well with a jebou 105gpm pump, only 15 or 20 dollars here on desertcart. On minimum setting (85gpm) it pulls the water through the pump as robustly as it can without overflowing, so I'd imagine the smaller pump that comes with the fountains would work well on full power, with all three layers of Filtration. I used to filter there water with a PUR filter at the tap bc my picky dog can smell all the chlorine in our water around here, so he wouldnt touch it. That was an annoying task, but now I don't have to do that. These filters layered do basically the same thing. Not to mention for $45 I got enough filters to last probably a year+.
