It DEFINITELY takes practice to know how to create a natural brow look with hair-like strokes but once you master it...yep, not using another brow pen. Used the dark brunette color when I had brown hair. It makes your brows look very natural when you learn how to use it and how hard to press. For hair-like strokes you need to not press as hard and flick with speed. You can also fill in your brows using the side of the little brushes, if you want a darker, fuller look. Now that I have black hair I will need to switch to the blackest color. The brown does not go with black hair and quickly noticed after I used it when I dyed my hair. But I have purchased this about 4-5 times and I have thrichotillomania, so I have an issue with pulling out brow hairs for many many years and finally...I have something to mimic actual brow hair for places that are sparse or completely void of hair. I am not the most adept at doing this, plus I have a bit of shaky hands, so it's very easy to get heavy handed and wind up with concentrated splotches of the gel on the skin. I ordered the Blonde because they didn't have Taupe (what I would normally buy). I thought it might look too light but the opposite happened. I have nano brows that are in the 'shadow' stage where they appear lighter than they will when they are fully healed. I'm def keeping this product because it's 'that' precise (and will be very light handed when applying going forward) but I wish they had other colors to choose from. This product does not smudge at all yet comes off easily when you remove your makeup.
