Snug, which is good. If the hatch was an inch wider it would have needed a Mid to Full. Easy to assemble. I put the pole in the center sleeve first, installed one end in the side boot, and then with the last link loose I installed the second end in the other boot AND THEN connected the end link to the rest (see image). Easy, and should eliminate issues other Reviewers had with breaking poles and not being able to assemble it singlehanded.
