**Q: How do you spread the small rings without the 2 external holes? I have three snap ring pliers and all are useless for the small size rings?**
A: First, I'd try cleaning my snap-ring pliers.  Mine were dirty and at first didn't seem to fit--but after I cleaned the tips they fit perfectly in all sizes of rings.

**Q: what size snap ring wrench is needed for the 8mm circlip ring, 1.4 mm pins?**
A: I don't know what you are doing. Try taking the snap ring to NAPA and let them size the snap ring pliers for you.
