People keep talking about the show in the reviews and that's great and all but I wanted to review the actual boxed set itself. For context I have seen this show already and love it and this is why I bought the disks! I am rewatching everything on these disks but I'm still going through them so I will update if need be. I got the DVD set. I've looked through the first few disks and they seem to all have the same system. Okie dokie, you're all caught up! Pros: So organised! There is an episode index where you have the option to watch the show with commentary and there's also deleted scenes! You can “customise” your experience. You can watch the episode with/without the commentary or subtitles. The back of the jacket is a list of what is on every disk! It seems to be PACKED with stuff, I am so excited to get to the later disks! Cons: It was incredibly hard to get the disks out of their cases and oh boy did I think I was gonna scratch one of them. They're layered on top of each other so you've got this booklet of disks and then two disks on each side for a total of four disks on one “page” (front and back). When you're trying to pop out a disk, you have to be careful because the backs of the disks on the other side of the “page” are exposed so you could scratch them. And then the prongs that kept the disks on were just so so strong! I used more force than I was comfortable with multiple times. Thankfully I have a disk book so I moved the disks into there but just be careful and patient but most importantly: good luck. I love the DVDs so much! I thought all the menu screens were so cute! And the first disk of the set is all Parks-and-Rec-y and it's so adorable! The other disks are just different colours based on their season. It is so nice to have a physical copy of the episodes plus bonus bits! You can tell a lot of love was put into the extra bits, too. OMG also the menu screen (at least on the first disk) plays the Parks and Rec theme song so just like be aware of that if you're gonna watch this at 3am while everyone is asleep. All I wanted was the physical copies of the show and I got so much more! I am so pleased with my purchase! I was thinking of getting the Bluerays but I didn't know if they had the bonus content in them as well. Either way, my DVDs are pretty sweet! Also, I am LOVING the random “great-tv-show.com” on the main menu. I have no clue what they had to do with the making of this and tbh slightly terrified to look up the website in case it's sketchy but still. It's perfect. This whole boxed set is perfect. It is literally everything I wanted and more so like you blew me out of the water there. Expect the whole trying to get the disks out of the case. I was not blown out of the water. But everything else was wonderful and whoever manufactures this: thank you!
