I looked for it , but could not see it anywhere on the bag** A: Do you mean expiration of a bag? I don’t have a bag on hand but there is an expiration date stamped on the bag in small print. **Q: What is the percentage of meat in this?** A: There’s no percentage breakdown that I can see other than beef is the first ingredient **Q: I was informed that a 1.75 lb bag will last my small dog for 8 days. At $25 per bag, that's almost $100 per month! How is this economical?** A: You're right, it's cost prohibitive for most people, especially for owners of medium and large dogs or multiple dogs. One cup of this food is about 4 oz. Currently the cost is about $4 per cup and it would be about $480 a month before taxes to feed just one of my 65 lbs dogs ( and I have two). The manufacturer's claim that this food makes feeding raw "affordable" is just not true. It may make it easier but definitely not more affordable. I spend half the amount preparing my own fresh food for my dogs. **Q: How many cups are there per 8lb bag, 40 or 15?** A: Our Complete Turkey recipe is available in a 7 pound bag and has approximately 28-30 dry cups of food. This will rehydrate into approximately 35-40 pounds of food. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Must be a healthy dog food - No GMO's and very low count of recalls *by A***N on September 1, 2018* I love feeding Sojos dog food to my best buddy. As far as I know, I do not think they have had any recalls -( I use a site called dog food advisor to make sure nothing I feed her is recalled) It is reconstituted with water and is easy to make - Saves on space as it is freeze dried and the bottom line is, it is a really healthy food for my dog. I do wish it weren't so darn expensive but, in the long run, the old saying "you are what you eat" goes for your fur friends too. I make very few trips to the vet. So far only check ups and teeth cleaning. This is amazing considering my best friend is a retired greyhound and did not get the best start in life. I adopted her when she was 2 years old and she is now 6 years old. (Knock on wood) she has been extremely healthy) I spend more money on her food than mine and I wish there were coupons or some kind of program where after buying a certain number of bags you get one free. Anything that would help those of us who want to do what is right for our pets but are not wealthy. It is getting to a point where only those with big bucks can afford a pet. I believe if you are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of a living creature, you should do it right or not do it at all. Far too many people think giving their dogs any old junk kibble or canned food is acceptable. In my opinion it is not. Taking care of an animal of any kind takes a lot of work, time, patience and love, along with money. Flea control, rabies shots, teeth cleaning are all very important and since your dog can not speak you have to educate yourself in order to know if and when your dog is in pain. Their teeth are a big deal and can cause tremendous pain (no different than when we have tooth pain) but, they cannot tell us. What your dog eats affects how often they will need to have their teeth cleaned. I highly recommend Sojos dog food and along with a topper that is high in protein. So many people tell me, " It is so good you "saved" her" and I always reply, honestly it was the other way around. She is my best friend and I feel spending the money for a quality dog food is one way to show her I love her. Having extremely rare vet bills is a plus. My gal, like all dogs and pets, deserve food that is healthy for them. I also have the peace of mind that Sojos is (so far) a safe dog food without any recalls. That in and of itself, is worth the money I spend for 2 bags every 6 weeks. I am disabled and live far below the poverty line but, she is my priority. I waited six years before I knew I would be able to afford all that comes with the responsibility of having a pet. It took a lot of research to find a dog food I could trust that would pass my tests and Sojos is it! Now if they could only lower the price a bit... Being able to see the ingredients shows the quality difference between processed dog food. The bag is plenty big for my dog, but I was able to buy bigger bags in the past when I had more dogs.
