I've used it for laptops and audio equipment and it works great. Feels fairly heavy duty, weighty enough and with variable tripod width so it won't tip over but you can also make it a smaller footprint when needed. I've actually bought two of them for various purposes, I liked the first one so much. When I got the second one it had a missing part, but contacting Starument through the Amazon app (not easy due to Amazon UI...
