HSS M42 teeth is particularly good for high strength metal such as stainless steel (HSS M3 ones are good for middle strength metal but not high strength one) because HSS M42 contains cobalt 8%, which raises the hardness of the teeth. Having the full set made it easy to get the right size for the job. They cut through just fine. The only thing that stopped my progress was that the large adapter has a snap ring on it, and I didn't have the tool to remove it. It's all good now, because I not only have a nice set of saws, but I have a snap ring tool as well. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes purdy wholes! *by B***1 on August 13, 2020* I'll confess that I almost never use a hole saw, but when I do need one it's usually to drill a hole through a 2x4 or a cabinet. So when I used this set to drill umbrella holes through my new picnic tables, I was surprised that the 2" hole saw blade couldn't quite make it through the 1-1/2" table top. Then I realized that a lock ring around the drill bit was preventing it. At first I thought that it was a poor design, but then I realized that by drilling the hole from both sides avoided splintering and produced a cleaner end result.So, I would have to say that this product does the job.
