Carrying something in your hand while running could cause form issues. This little bottle does what I need it to do. I love that the clip is super padded so it won’t hurt if it rests against your skin and the pockets on the side are great for holding keys and SPF lip balm. It’s not a very aerodynamic shape, though, so finding a place to clip it where it stays out of the way is a challenge but I clipped it to my shorts at the small of my back and it was easy to access and replace. As I said, it’s just for short runs between 3 and 5 or 6 miles. Not sure I could do a long distance training run with this but that’s not why I bought it. I didn't even get out the door with it because it started leaking the minute I went to clip it onto my work out pants.
