I will wear an elastic belt to keep them fitting as this occurs. They are standard height waist, not high waisted as described. The waistband comes even with my hips. I haven’t washed them yet but I think they are very nice. If they shrink, it’s nothing that a few squats won’t fix by stretching them out. I am happy with my purchase. The 30’s go on feeling perfect and get loose after wearing them. I carry most of my extra weight in my butt, hips and thighs and wranglers are a go to brand for my body shape. I wear the 30’s often and would recommend them overall. The inseam on the right leg is off a bit and twist around the front of the leg. It’s not an obvious defect but can feel annoying at times. The 31’s I ordered did not have this defect. I liked the color and the heavier weight denim. The jeans are a loose straight leg, not a slim taper.
