(Personally, I might have made this two omnibuses, but I understand the temptations of having everything in one binding). Other than that, everything is in impeccable standard. The paper quality seems fine, and of course the stories are engaging. I have yet to experience any substantial binding issues, but it does feel easily susceptible at times. Don’t let that put you off buying, though. These stories are honestly some of my favourites, and I’d argue they’re must-reads for any batman fan at some point. As other people have already said, the size can definitely get in the way, but if the price is cheap enough, it’s well worth buying. Just make sure you have a desk at hand to read it. If you do decide to purchase, I’m sure you’ll be spellbound by Sale’s gothic artwork, and Loeb’s rich storytelling. Perhaps this was a ramble review, but in summary, I do recommend the book for any fans of graphic novels, comics, or just noir storytelling in general.
