The satin around the roller has stayed in place it has frayed a little bit on the ends, but not an issue at all. I would recommend them to anyone. The area that fastens to the rod was broken and in looking at the other curlers in the package, the "stems or rods" are so skinny that they will not hold hair but rather break. This is a real shame to be selling. Obviously the company making these scams has never used them and do not understand how ridiculously weak and breakable these curlers are. They have just copied the look of a curler. I had studied so many curlers and read so many reviews, I was hoping that these curlers would work but they are completely useless. I have never seen such weak and breakable fasteners. I can't say enough that these need to be pulled from selling! And the price is outrageous.
