I tried better shoes, different socks, multiple socks, etc etc etc, and while all of that helped, they never really completely saved my toes. And then I bought these and I haven't lost a toenail since! Now I'm back to buy a backup pair that I can try swapping out the elastic on, as my only complaint about these is that the elastic band is so narrow that it has a bad habit of digging into my skin.
