## Description

desertcart.com: Yamaha Main Switch Assembly Panel, #704-82570-13-00 : Automotive

Review: OEM Quality - Easy to install and appears to be good quality and a lot better price than a boat dealer. Only used it a few cranks but so far so good. A bit more expensive than the generic parts but it gives me a since of comfort when out on the lake with less chance of being stranded.
Review: Works great. - Fit my 2002 prosport boat perfectly with yamaha 225 engine

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this an exact replacement for a 2005 yamaha t50 tlrd?**
A: Hi There,
First, I assume your ignition switch is on a dashboard?? And your 50hp is not a tiller steered system?? This switch you are looking at is a "704" model - goes across a ton of marine / engine applications (Yamaha).
1. If the face plate is the same on your boat it is likely the one, (ignition key on top / Emerg. kill switch on bottom..)
2. pull off the access panel or look to where you can see the wiring under the dash (from the back of the switch..)
3. if it is a 704, you will see a large round harness (8 pins / female side) that hangs down and that snaps together with the male wiring plug that feeds to the boats electrical system
4. If it is a 704, you will also see 4 individual wires (GREEN , BLACK , RED , YELLOW) they plug into the color coded / corresponding wires that go to the boat as well. Very straight forward.
* both of the items noted in points 3 and 4 are in the photos on the Amazon add. You can see what I am talking about..
Lastly, the cheaper non-Yamaha / Aftermarket / $50-60 version 704's have many reviews that note the plate is tad larger than the original Yamaha OEM switch. You may/will have to drill additional holes to mount it to the dash, I note this in my review. I spent and extra 100.00 for the OEM switch and for that reason - extra holes issue. Make sure to disconnect you main battery before unplugging and plugging the new switch -- reconnect the battery once you are done. Hope this helps..

**Q: Will this work for a 2020 200hp yamaha v4 four stroke?**
A: Hi Nicole .. I have a 2008, 250 V6 4 stroke and this was compatible with that engine.. Here is the advice i gave to another inquiry .. hope this helps..
