There are 20 attributes cards: colors and shapes. These did not work well for my son. These cards are not actual real pics of items more like book drawings. I have also purchased the autism communication PECS which are life-like pics; much better. Each symbol is a full color drawing that is perfect for combining with attributes for precise requests or comments. The set includes many sentence starter symbols such as "I want" and "I see" that can be used for easy sentence formation. All pictures are printed on very heavy paper and laminated to make them extra durable! Small self-adhesive, Velcro dots are included for each picture. This set was easy to cut apart, and easy to get all velcro'd and ready to use. They are sturdy and colorful as well.The one thing I didn't really like, was that it's mostly all food cards. A lot of candy too! I separated them all by type (ie breakfast, dinner, snack, lunch, cake/candy, fruit, drinks) and they are very easy for her to pick and choose. I wish they had a kit for emotions and needs though for the young children.They go great with the large communication notebook by Different Roads to Learning.
