Review: We have purchased and used Bob's Red Mill Golden Masa Harina for our own hand made tortillas and after trying many other brands, we believe this is the very best we have used to date. Not only the best flavor but also the best consistency for a tortilla that holds together even the following day after. Yes it's expensive but it's worth it if you want the best. You get what you pay for!
Review: I bought a tortilla press and this flour at the same time, just wanted to give both a try to see if I could make them salt free. Both the press and the flour were great. The flour is very fine ground but not to the extremity of corn starch, it was a light yellow and had some darker kernel hull bits here and there just like you see in corn meal. It was free of any lumps or rough bits, mixed easily with the water and salt in the recipe and held it's shape when pressed and toasted in the pan. The bag has a recipe for tortilla dough but I was thinking it would make some delicious hush puppies if the dough was a bit thinner. That may be my next recipe to try out!

Great color, great taste, easy to use. Just add warm water according to the instructions on the package, knead for a few minutes and your corn masa is ready to be made into some great tasting tortillas. Forget about other brands, this is the one. Don't add wheat flour or salt or oil or lard, just water and that's it. Get Roberto's (Bob's) Red Mill corn flour and enjoy some good mexican corn tortillas.
