After installing this cooler, I completed a 5-hour towing trip, and the transmission temperature never reached 80°C (176°F). That's a massive improvement and exactly what I was hoping for. Installation was straightforward using only the included hardware and brackets. On the H3, I did have to make a few adjustments: Relocated the horn to create enough mounting space. Moved the wiring attached to the center support in front of the radiator. Mounted the cooler with the ports facing upward to help prevent air from becoming trapped inside the unit. One thing I chose not to use was the supplied hose. I couldn't find sufficient information regarding its pressure or temperature ratings, so for peace of mind I purchased 10 feet of hydraulic transmission-rated hose, cut it into two sections, and used that instead. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this cooler. The reduction in transmission temperature has been dramatic, and it has given me much more confidence when towing for extended periods.
