it will depend on your choice of seller. at the time of my purchase my unit did not come with a charger but sellers will list what comes with the unit they are charging for.

Hi yes,It sure is. It has the backlight inside, so it has the insides of a 101 system. But it was originally produced as an 001 system, so it has been modified to be 101. It's a Surf Blue 101

Q: Is this the backlit model with the dim and bright option or front lit with off and on option?

This is the AGS-001 model (surf blue was AGS-001) with just the off and on brightness.We can make it model #AGS-101 for you if you want.
