Just like the ones I wore in the service, these are built with what seems like very good quality material. Now for the bad news (for me anyway). I wore them once and after about 2 hours, was in so much pain I found myself incapacitated due to the ginormous gash my new boots were digging into my heel. I know and expect to have a break-in period with these or any footwear. This was not that! Where the upper back of the heel meets with the upper of the back has a ledge of thick leather protruding into the inside of the boot. Sadly, there is no amount of break-in time to correct this situation.Can't stress enough that I have no issue with the quality of materials.
