This is a very sturdy and rugged case. It does have a leather finish. I love the fact that it is waterproof since some might store liquids in there. This is a stationary case. When you open it the compartments are all shapes and sizes and they are fixed so they cannot fall out. The very bottom on the inside of the case is very large that it could carry a hair straighter.
