I thought it was a bad bearing in something. I saw a video on YouTube and it documented the noise exactly and traced it to crank seals sucking air past, due to incorrect PCV operation. Truth. Another video said vacuum sucking when removing oil cap is sign of bad PCV. Not Truth. A warm engine will have vacuum under oil cap with good PCV. My test concluded that a vacuum leak on the PCV nipple shows a bad PCV. Other test might be necessary to prove out the whole system bud this one caused me to order the repair kit. The new replacement PCV cap fits very tight after I carefully removed the old one. The YouTube videos are invaluable to explain this. After installing the new cap with some silicone sealant and a rubber mallet I waited 12 hours and tested the car. Perfect. No leaks and no "Seagull" noises. $25 fix instead of $250 valve cover. Very happy. Review: This is a temporary fix. Lasted about an hour. You need to replace the entire valve cover. - Worked perfectly for about an hour. After that, same problem.
