In addition, the wood is soft and pulpy ready and willing to take all kinds of stains, dies, and paints.

Great item for the price! Very sturdy and got the job done

It is smaller than I was expecting, but I probably just didn't look at the dimensions correctly. It is a nice easel, but don't put too much weight on it. My son (10 months) leaned on it and the leg snapped. I was able to tape it up and still use it, but it was a little upsetting because that happened the day after I got it.
