When I realized the side of my nose was not in pieces and I much to my surprise was not bleeding at all, I found that this "cheap metal" nose ring had actually straightened out from the spiral and slid very easily out of my nose, rather than ripping through it. Thank the lorrrrd. An unrelated ER visit billing summary actually informed me that stitches cost $2500 a piece, so if I do the math correctly, this "cheap" nose ring is a whole lot less than that. And it bends right back, even from being totally straightened out.
