DAVID NIVEN'S COLONEL RACE IS A MOST FITTING COUNTERPOINT TO USTINOV'S POIROT IN THAT HE HAS THE ABILITY TO BRING POIROT DOWN FROM HIS LOFTY STOICISM BACK TO THE REALITY OF TIME AND PLACE - QUITE COMEDIC!  WE WATCH THIS MOVIE SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR. THIS AND EVIL UNDER THE SUN ARE, TO US, USTINOV'S BEST PERFORMANCES AS HERCULE POIROT.  NO ONE ELSE CAN GIVE POIROT'S PERCEIVED SNOBBERY WHAT IS ACTUALLY A MATTER-OF-FACT, DOWN-TO-EARTH HONESTY AS DOES USTINOV IN THESE TWO MOVIES!

Beautifully done version. It was a treat to see Angela Lansbury acting silly. Bette Davis was amazing. The costumes were awesome. The entire cast was superb.
