This year despite still having covid restrictions, I was able to bring a huge smile to his face and some nostalgia with a Star Wars theme birthday party with his sister, BIL and thier kids (M4, F2) and of course a new cheesecake! These lightsabers are great, they are plastic with extending "saber" part and go to "full" size. They come with batteries and ready to use right out of the box. With 12, they cost about $4.25 each and you can't find that low price in any store. The sounds and lights make everything a blast while playing with them. They held up well with the toddlers and even the adults. We all need a little "play time" and these will help you find the laughter.
