But they are nicely made with a quality finish, and I do believe they would hold up fine in the dishwasher. The blade thickness for the price is quite impressive. In all honesty, I bought this set for the way it looked. My kitchen is very gold heavy on decor. But...I ended up being very surprised at the quality of the set for the price I paid. I own much more expensive knives, the workhorses you hide away in the drawers because they aren't aesthetically pleasing, but these are performing way above my expectations and feel as if they will have some real durability for some time to come.
