The spaces are wide enough for the 47-50mm watches I have with room for larger. I am sure you could just as easily get a 52mm maybe even a 54mm, in there and have space on the sides. The case feels solid and opens very smoothly. The only thing I would have liked was a lock on the door, but that is a small request and by no means a complaint.
