Favourite sterilizer!!! *by M***Y on 19 June 2026* As someone who has tried all different versions of sterilizing bottles / pump parts - I can confidently say this one is my favourite. THIS BAG TAKES THE CAKE FOR CONVENIENCE, EASE AND PRICE. It is a great size and actually comfortably fits a lot more than expected - I think I’ve done up to 6 small Dr Browns bottles + all their parts in one cycle, without being worried about over stuffing (and warping the bottles). It takes minimal water (60mL) which doesn’t have to be distilled since there’s no components that can get damaged from the minerals in the water (especially if you have hard water). It only takes 3 minutes in the microwave. My only con is that since it is silicone, it is a bit bulky and doesn’t fold down small for travel - but that is a SMALL drawback. I use this bag for my everyday sterilizing. For context, I have tried the stand alone electric sterilizer (which needs distilled water or it becomes calcified and requires descaling/routine maintenance). I have tried boiling in a pot of water - obviously this is the cheapest method and requires no extra products but it felt like a burden to have to stand by the stove. I have tried the Medela sterilizing bags - they are fantastic if you only need an on the go option / travelling (temporary) because they have 20 uses per bag and can become costly as your primary source for sterilizing.
