How do you secure it in wind?** A: The legs are very wide. I usually use nothing to secure but if its a really windy day, i use big sand bags so secure. I use it for my veo camera for almost a year. I hope this helps. **Q: Is there a way to swivel it to follow the ball at a soccer game?** A: I bought mine specifically to film soccer games. The trypod stand is excelent quality yet no made for smooth swivel. What I did is I bought a Zifon YT-3000 remote control panoramic electric pan tilt device that I attach to the top of the tripod. It works great. I control pan and tilt remotely and I use the video cameras wireless remote to control zoom. I installed a 25ft HDMI cable from the camera to a small video screen I attached to the tripod. I spent about $1,000 for everything. **Q: How much weight will tripod hold at full height? Will it hold a gimbal and camera?** A: Not sure exact weight. I mounted a video camera on it no problem. It is pretty sturdy and if the gimbal were not overly cumbersome - I don't see it would be an issue **Q: How tall is the dude in the photograph?** A: For sure he’s taller than me because I’m 5.1 ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I LOVE IT *by on Reviewed in the United States August 21, 2022* It is perfect for what my needs. I work in the woods and around tall brush so I put a time lapse camera on the top and raise this bad boy up to heaven and get some great shots for our marketing. We at Georgia Land Clearing Solutions love this piece. Only down side it will saw in the air just a tiny bit but nothing that will mess any video up. These thing normally are like $700 bucks can’t beat the price. It’s heavy duty and when you go to let it down has springs build inside so it slowly goes down. Doesn’t come with any bag but I don’t need a bag I just fold it up and put it across my back seat wham bam thank you ma’am. Mmmmkay bye now ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ More impressed than I thought I would be! *by on Reviewed in the United States June 2, 2022* I purchased a Pix4Team unit to automatically record soccer matches and since the Veo-branded tripods are $200 more expensive, I thought I would give this tripod a try. I am glad I did, because I have been impressed with it. The thickness of aluminum is slightly less, so at full extension it wobbles a little more than the Veo stand, but I learned to counter this by not fully extending each section, but rather leave about 2-3 inches in each section to increase the stability. Also, the built-in feature which slowly descends each section is awesome! The Veo stand just drops quickly and often pinches fingers. The only thing the Veo stand has going for it is the hole at the bottom of the tripod feet which allows for you to use metal stakes. Since we are often on turf, that doesn't help out and I use sandbags full of pea gravel for weight. I read on another review to buy a snow ski bag to carry this around, and that was a genius idea. In addition to this tripod, here is what I purchased to round out my setup.Convert 1/4" Male Thread to 3/8" Male Thread for Camera: $5.60https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDJ2PV1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Sandbags with plastic liners (great to prevent moisture from soaking your bags): $20.99https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XCP8XJQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Ski bag with boot bag to carry tripod and camera: $35.98https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001JP0NJS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice tripod but shipping box could use some help *by on Reviewed in the United States September 13, 2020* Update: I have increased to 4 stars. I reached out to Glide Gear through their website and they immediately shipped out a replacement part. Thanks for the great customer service!Overall this is a very nice tripod for the price. It is almost impossible to find anything in the 20' range that doesn't cost twice as much. It would have been nicer if it had an adjustable leg to more easily secure it on uneven ground. My only other complaint is that the cardboard box this thing comes in is just too flimsy which can result in damage during shipping. Mine arrived in one piece for the most part with the exception of the piece at the top with the threads to attach a camera. The threads are damaged and the little plastic cap that was supposed to protect them was found floating around in the box. I'm surprised it didn't come out of one of the holes in the cardboard.Either way, I can't really use it until I find a replacement as I can't attach what I need to it. I have contacted Glide Gear for a replacement part as it just doesn't seem logical to send the whole thing back. Depending on how they respond will determine if I drop the rating to 2 Stars or increase it to 4 stars. ## Frequently Bought Together - Glide Gear TST 20 Sky High 20' Tall Video Camera Tripod Stand – Air-Cushioned Telescoping Sections, Supports Up to 8 lbs – Ideal for Overhead Shots in Film & Photo - Stabilization Kit Included - CAMVATE 1/4" Female to 3/8" Male Convert Adapter for Camera Tripod and QR Plate - 0895 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/742739653-glide-gear-tst-20-sky-high-20-camcorder-tripod-stand](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/742739653-glide-gear-tst-20-sky-high-20-camcorder-tripod-stand) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
