Which do you recommend to go along with this airbrush? I'm very new to this all!** A: Yes, you need to buy a air compressor separately. I purchased a generic brand air compressor that has a tank on bottom that had excellent ratings from many people. I read that, if you get one without a tank... You have a high chance of the air compressor over heating and shutting off until it cools down because it's constantly on pumping air. Over time it'll get too hot and over heat. It all depends on what your needs are for airbrushing. I suggest one with a tank so you don't run into that issue. All you need after purchasing the air compressor and airbrush gun is the hose that connects the airbrush gun to the air compressor. Some air compressors don't say what the thread size is. Make sure to do research on the thread of the air hose because not all air hose are made the same. Some you'll need an adapter. **Q: Would you say this brush is good for an "all-around" paint job or more for detailing? Ex: Gundam Models** A: Any airbrush can do that including this one. That's what my primary use has been is for gundam models and it done a nice job.In fact you'll get better paint usage from this model thanks to the top fed gravity cup. **Q: Is this airbrush internal or external mix? Looking into painting latex masks and am new to these. I heard latex paint requires a external mix brush.** A: It is an internal mix. **Q: enamel, acrylic and lacquer paint???????.
