It works well, cleans up easily and has more blades than you could use in a week at least. Ok, maybe not me, but most people anyway. The build is great and it comes apart and goes together very easily. You won’t feel overwhelmed by it even though there is a great deal you can do. Some of which you will end up discovering for yourself. That’s where the only complaints about this particular device come from. The manual on how to set it up and clean it is very easy and mainly self explanatory. It doesn’t take more than a few minutes and you’re off and running. You’ll make all kinds of things. In fact, the included cookbook helps slightly with a few fairly easy ideas. Unfortunately, there really is no explanation about how to fully use the blades. It says you can slice, chop, basically do all the things you would with other devices and you can. However, without instructions, it’s a guessing Gabe. One that isn’t seriously hard, but could be easily avoided. Also, even though I believe I’ve figured things out, I don’t know that I know for certain. That’s the positive of the exploration. The negative is you need to be careful. There is no glove to protect you hand, no holder for the you’re preparing except the one for the spiralizer and no place to put it if there were. It’s dangerous, so be careful. I have the missing fingertip to prove it. Finally, while the spiralizer wires without a hitch it would be better if it had a basket to catch the byproduct. It’s not required, but it would be helpful. They give you a little container, but it’s sort of small and barely fits the blades let alone the hhslices, ribbons or noodles. Lastly, they include some ingenious things like a place to hold you most used blades in the unit and another for two mire blades. Sadly, the rest don’t have a home. It would be great if they had a storage tray. That would make life so much easiier. Summing it up, all the criticisms aside, I love this device. I’ve recommended it to people and will continue to do so. I’d love to see to see a slight redesign and would gladly help, if they want, but they deserve the five stars I gave them. This Zlew spiralizer is of superb quality, is sturdy and easy to use, dishwasher safe, has an extra handle (love this) that allows you to put more pressure on the food going through, and the gripper is very tight to the surface when engaged. Also all blades are labeled as to what they are. Very pleased! That was the first thing I made with this machine. I found the curly fires to be ridiculously long. They were hard to cook evenly and hard to eat. So the next time I will cut the length, but my DH says he prefers 1/4" hand cut fries. **Q: This says that it comes with a storage caddy, but it only stores 2. Where do you store the other 5 blades if you have food in the food storage?** A: I put the least used blades in the plastic container w/lid, which would be 5, since I keep one in machine & 2 in slide-in machine base & 2 in plastic storage box container. I don't use the rectangular store container for catching food since lid is not air tight but good for storing the 5 blades. I use a cutting board w/scooped up sides to catch my spiralized food. I have really enjoyed using it with only one negative thing to say. It is a big tough to clean with some veggies. I have noticed that the orange in carrots stains the white exterior a bit and getting that to lift takes some work. It also has a little collection that happens near the blade and being able to safely clean that is a bit more difficult than I expected. The product itself works wonderfully and defiantly adds a lot to a meal in way of presentation.
