They are the original. The new version does not have the same tone as these do. I have a review on youtube of my first one. Own them all but the violent metal pedal. This is a very solidly built pedal which sounds just wonderful. This pedal is quite interesting as it really responds to your guitars volume. Put the volume on 4-6 and it is just great for rhythm. put your guitar volume up to 10 and wow what a great tone for lead. what else can I say.
