That is inaccurate information. YOU HAVE TO ASSEMBLE WITH THE ARMRESTS, otherwise there is nothing for the back of the chair to secure to. The back of the chair is secured to the base of the chair only by the armrests and four screws. This can clearly be seen in the photos that the seller posted. Wish I had paid better attention before purchasing. **Q: I weigh 300lbs, will my chunky butt bust it? I can't imagine being 25-30 over will break it.** A: I wouldn’t recommend it. I bought one about 7-8 months ago and the chair already broke. I weigh less than the 270lbs listed as max. The problem is that the bottom seat part is connected to the back via the two arm rest. These arm rest are held in place by four screws so anytime the back part is leaned back it creates quite a bit of tension on those screws which break.
