The stitching looks to be complete with no gaps or holes. Material is pretty thin though, not sure where the 'luxury' comes into it, as the description states. I've had bed pillows very similar to these cushions and put them in the wash, as the description says you can, but have always found this ruins the inner padding so I wouldn't recommend machine washing.
