Let me say, I am more than satisfied with my purchase. I just bought it about a week ago. I think it will last a number of years-----3 to 5 years is my guess if not longer. It is a sturdy metal. It is pretty. I have received compliments. (I could even paint it if I so choose, too.) I did use a four foot rebar, purchased from Lowes, in order to keep it upright. The amount of the stem that goes into the ground is about five inches. SO, the wind would probably eventually blow it over or make it lean. I wired the stem of the windmill to the rebar after using a hammer to put the rebar about 1.5 feet into ground. Only used one metal paperclip to then wire the two together. I like my windmill. I am going to purchase another for the front yard.
