A bit tricky to replace it but definitely doable by a non professional. the video helps! They recommend it every 6 months for replacement. Review: DO NOT BUY! Worse quality than the original blade! - The original blade in my blender started leaking from the bottom (the bearing) although we had not made it wet or tampered with it, so I figured normal wear and tear and ordered this replacement, it arrived at the end of January it took me about a week or so to replace it, so after a month this new blade has started leaking oil too! There are a lot of commercial blenders out there, although I really wanted the CRANDDI to work out, it just isn't a good quality blender for commercial use, so I do not recommend it, the price point is great but the quality of the blade bearing really sucks.
